По данным компании Mediascope, месячный охват социальной сети «ВКонтакте» среди российских пользователей в декабре прошлого года составил 92 млн человек (учитывались пользователи старше 12 лет, взаимодействующие с платформой посредством десктопных и мобильных устройств). По данному показателю «ВКонтакте» впервые обошла YouTube, которым в декабре пользовались 89,6 млн россиян.

На фоне полного замедления YouTube в России в декабре аудитория сервиса сократилась на 6 % год к году, а по сравнению с предыдущим месяцем показатель снизился на 1,8 %. Первое существенное снижение аудитории YouTube в России фиксировалось в сентябре (за месяц видеохостингом пользовались 92,9 млн россиян). Уже тогда эту динамику связывали с замедлением работы сервиса в стране. Аудитория «ВКонтакте» на тот момент росла не так быстро и составляла 90,5 млн человек.
Также отмечается, что в прошлом месяце среднесуточный охват YouTube сократился на 21 % год к году и на 9 % по сравнению с ноябрём 2024 года. В декабре прошлого года он составил 42,1 млн человек, тогда как у «ВКонтакте» этот показатель находился в районе 57,2 млн человек.
По мнению представителей «ВКонтакте», ключевым фактором роста пользовательской аудитории стало развитие сервисов «VK Видео» и «VK Клипы». Оба сервиса обновили рекомендательные алгоритмы, увеличили базу оригинального контента, а также запустили новые инструменты монетизации для авторов. По данным «ВКонтакте», общее время просмотра роликов в «VK Видео» за период с конца декабря 2024 года по начало января 2025 года выросло в 4 раза год к году до 2,2 млрд минут в сутки. Среднесуточное число просмотров в сервисе «VK Клипы» за год увеличилось в 2,6 раза до 2,5 млрд просмотров.
