The conditions of the injured passengers \u2060were not immediately known.<\/p>\n<section class=\"more-on\">\n<h2 class=\"more-on__heading\">Recommended Stories<!-- --> <\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"screen-reader-text\">list of 3 items<\/span><span class=\"screen-reader-text\">end of list<\/span><\/section>\n<p>Local \u2060newspapers, quoting statements from Brazil\u2019s Federal Highway Police, said the bus was carrying farm \u2060workers from the northeastern state of Maranhao to Santa \u2060Catarina state in the south to harvest apples.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle skidded off the roadway and flipped over after \u200cits left rear tyre burst, causing the driver to lose control, \u200cthe Brazilian newspaper \u200cFolha de S.Paulo said.<\/p>\n<p>Deadly road accidents are common in Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>In early February, at least 16 people died when a bus veered off the road on a curve and overturned in Alagoas state in the northeast.
