triggering a spike in oil prices.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"169\" data-end=\"380\">According to Iran\u2019s representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, at least 1,348 civilians have been end the war: recognition of Tehran\u2019s legitimate rights, payment of reparations and firm international guarantees against future aggression.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"169\" data-end=\"380\">This comes as Tehran has continued retaliatory attacks and signalled potential conditions for ending the conflict.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"169\" data-end=\"380\">At the same time, cyberattacks, maritime incidents in the Strait of Hormuz and rising oil prices are adding to the global fallout of the war.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"754\" data-end=\"787\">Here are the latest developments:<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"in-iran\">In Iran<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"spaced-bullet-spacing\">\n<li data-start=\"90\" data-end=\"314\"><strong>Growing death toll:<\/strong> At least 1,348 civilians have been killed and over 17,000 injured in Iran since the US and Israel launched their attacks on February 28.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"90\" data-end=\"314\"><strong>\u2018Catastrophic\u2019 humanitarian toll:<\/strong> UNICEF reported that the escalating conflict has created a \u201ccatastrophic\u201d situation, with more than 1,100 children reported injured or killed.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"90\" data-end=\"314\"><strong>Conditions for peace:<\/strong> President Pezeshkian said Tehran would consider ending the war if its \u201clegitimate rights\u201d are recognised, reparations are paid and firm international guarantees prevent future attacks.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"316\" data-end=\"508\"><strong>Cyberattack:<\/strong> Iran-linked group Handala said it crippled medical device giant Stryker\u2019s networks and stole 50TB of data in retaliation for the Minab school strike that killed more than 170 people, mostly schoolchildren.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"510\" data-end=\"686\"><strong>UN call to halt attacks:<\/strong> The UN Security Council adopted a resolution urging Iran to stop attacks on Gulf states, without mentioning US or Israeli strikes on Iran.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"spaced-bullet-spacing\">\n<li data-start=\"688\" data-end=\"939\"><strong>Top adviser calls Trump \u2018Satan\u2019:<\/strong> Yahya Rahim Safavi, a senior adviser to Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, lashed out at US President Donald Trump on state television, calling him \u201cthe most corrupt and stupid American president\u201d and \u201cSatan himself\u201d.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"941\" data-end=\"1138\"><strong>No evidence of mines:<\/strong> French President Emmanuel Macron said he had \u201cno confirmation\u201d Iran was laying sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz after reports the key waterway had been mined.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"941\" data-end=\"1138\"><strong>Joint strike with Hezbollah:<\/strong> The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it carried out a joint missile operation with Lebanese ally Hezbollah against targets in Israel.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"941\" data-end=\"1138\"><strong>Tensions in the Strait of Hormuz:<\/strong> The IRGC said it fired at two vessels that allegedly ignored warnings. Additionally, Oman\u2019s navy rescued 20 sailors from a Thai-flagged vessel attacked in the strait.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"the-gulf-countries\">The Gulf countries<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"spaced-bullet-spacing\">\n<li id=\"the-saudi-defence-ministry-said-it-intercepted-and-destroyed-a-drone-headed-toward-the-shaybah-oil-field\"><strong>Saudi Arabia:<\/strong> The Ministry of Defence on Thursday said two drones heading towards the Shaybah oilfield were intercepted and destroyed over the kingdom\u2019s Empty Quarter desert. Another drone towards the oilfield had earlier been \u201cintercepted and destroyed\u201d. Earlier on Thursday, the ministry said it shot down one drone approaching a district housing foreign embassies, and another in the eastern region.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Oman:<\/strong> A drone attack damaged several fuel tanks at the port of Salalah, an act strongly condemned by Qatar as a dangerous escalation. Iran has denied being behind the attack.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bahrain: <\/strong>The country responded to an Iranian attack on fuel tanks in Muharraq, urging residents to stay indoors to avoid smoke.<\/li>\n<li><strong>UAE:<\/strong> The country intercepted a massive wave of Iranian projectiles, including six ballistic missiles, seven cruise missiles, and 39 drones on March 11. Earlier, the Gulf country intercepted several drones, though one struck a residential building, wounding two people.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Espionage arrests:<\/strong> Bahrain\u2019s Ministry of Interior said four Bahraini citizens were arrested on charges of spying for Iran\u2019s IRGC.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Qatar Airways to resume flights:<\/strong> The airline said it will operate 29 flights to and from Doha on Thursday after receiving temporary government authorisation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u2018Proud as a Qatari\u2019: <\/strong>Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani praised the unity of citizens and residents during repeated Iranian attacks, pledging to keep daily life undisrupted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"in-the-us\">In the US<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"spaced-bullet-spacing\">\n<li data-start=\"134\" data-end=\"287\"><strong>\u2018We\u2019ve won\u2019:<\/strong> The president said US strikes had already defeated Iran, telling reporters the country was \u201cpretty much at the end of the line\u201d.
