The responsibility and possibility of governing were not given to us. Together we are stronger,\u201d von der Leyen said on X.<\/p>\n President Emmanuel Macron said he spoke to Magyar to congratulate him on his victory.<\/p>\n \u201cFrance welcomes the victory of democratic participation, the Hungarian people\u2019s commitment to the values of the European Union, and Hungary\u2019s commitment to Europe,\u201d he wrote on X.<\/p>\n Chancellor Friedrich Merz congratulated Magyar on his victory and said, \u201cThe Hungarian people have decided.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI am looking forward to working with you. Let\u2019s join forces for a strong, secure and, above all, united Europe,\u201d he wrote on X.<\/p>\n President Gitanas Nauseda called the result a \u201cBig win for Hungary!
