Former world heavyweight boxing champions Anthony Joshua and Tyson \u2060Fury have signed up for a long-awaited clash later this year, promoter Eddie Hearn said on Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cSigned, sealed, delivered! AJ v Fury is on!\u201d Hearn posted on Instagram. The announcement came after \u2060confirmation that Joshua will return to the ring against Kristian Prenga in Riyadh on July 25 in the Briton\u2019s first fight since he was in a car accident last December that killed two close friends.<\/p>\n

US-based Albanian Prenga, 35, is a former kickboxer with a ring record of 20 wins and one defeat \u200csince he turned professional in 2016.<\/p>\n

The fight, billed as \u201cThe Comeback\u201d, was announced by Saudi Arabia\u2019s General Entertainment Authority chairman Turki Alalshikh, and will be broadcast live worldwide on DAZN.<\/p>\n

Turki also posted on X a message \u201cto my friends in Great Britain \u2013 it\u2019s happening. It\u2019s signed\u201d while his Ring Magazine said the fight would happen in the fourth quarter of 2026 on Netflix.<\/p>\n

Joshua, 36, has a record of 28 wins and four losses, with his most recent fight a sixth-round \u2060knockout of American Jake Paul on December 19 in Miami, Florida, the US.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s no secret \u2060I\u2019ve taken some time to consolidate and rebuild to be ready for stepping back into the ring, and today is the next step on that journey,\u201d said Joshua.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m delighted to have agreed a multi-fight deal starting with July 25th in \u2060the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I\u2019m looking forward to competing and picking up where I left off. The landlord will collect his rent. That \u2060is certain.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hearn told Sky Sports television he wanted a \u201ctune-up bout\u201d \u2060in July before facing Fury potentially in November.<\/p>\n

\u201cJuly and November are the two dates that have been presented to us now, and we expect to move forward,\u201d he said. \u201cFury has just had his tune-up fight with 12 really vital rounds to \u200cget him sharp for the next one, and I expect us to do the same.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fury called for a showdown with Joshua after he outclassed Russia\u2019s Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11.<\/p>\n

\u201cNext, I want \u200cto \u200cgive you the fight you\u2019ve all been waiting for. I want you AJ, Anthony Joshua, let\u2019s give the fight fans what they want, the Battle of Britain,\u201d he said then.<\/p>\n
