Russia launched at least 19 attacks on the Donetsk region and 833 across the Zaporizhia region, authorities say.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Published On 29 Apr 2026<\/span>29 Apr 2026<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Ukrainian regional government officials say Russian attacks across Ukraine have killed at least three people and injured 17 during stalled United States-led talks to end the war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n The head of Donetsk\u2019s military administration, Vadym Filashkin, said on Wednesday that at least two people were killed and four wounded in Russian attacks in the region over the past 24 hours.<\/p>\n list of 3 items<\/span>end of list<\/span><\/section>\n In a message on Telegram, Filashkin said 19 Russian attacks on Donetsk damaged dozens of houses, apartment buildings, an infrastructure facility and a minibus.<\/p>\n The Interfax news agency reported fighting in the region forced the evacuation of \u201c867 people, including 34 children\u201d from the front line in the past 24 hours.<\/p>\n In a separate Russian drone attack, one woman was killed in the northeastern Ukrainian border region of Sumy.<\/p>\n The head of Sumy\u2019s regional military administration, Oleh Hryhorov, said on Telegram the strikes \u201cdeliberately aimed at residential buildings\u201d caused large-scale fires and \u201ca 60-year-old resident of one of the buildings died from carbon monoxide poisoning.\u201d<\/p>\n Elsewhere, overnight Russian attacks in southern Odesa hit civilian infrastructure, including a hospital, damaging cardiological and surgical departments.<\/p>\n The head of the regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, said on Telegram that \u201cas a result of a massive enemy attack, the hospital and residential buildings suffered significant damage, and a fire broke out in the reserve.\u201d Two people were wounded, he added.<\/p>\n Al Jazeera\u2019s Audrey Macalpine, reporting from Kyiv, said people were sheltering in the basement of the hospital during the attack.<\/p>\n In recent weeks, Ukraine has targeted oil refineries, depots and ports inside Russia aiming to blunt Russia\u2019s source of funding for the war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n A Ukrainian drone attack hit an industrial facility in Perm Krai, 1,500 kilometres into eastern Russia near the Ural Mountains, according to Regional Governor Makhonin.<\/p>\n \u201cToday, an enemy drone flew into an industrial site in the Perm Municipal District. Workers were evacuated.
