Brighton stayed 12th.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI enjoy it a lot here,\u201d Mbeumo told Sky Sports. \u201cIt hasn\u2019t been easy at the start. It\u2019s a new environment, a new expectation, but I think with the link-up with the team, everything is going the right way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe work we put in, the togetherness we give on the pitch, is key. Since the start of last season, Cunha has scored more goals from outside the box than any other Premier League player in all competitions.<\/p>\n<p>Casemiro\u2019s deflected strike deservedly put a dominant\u00a0United\u00a0further ahead, with more chances coming and going to extend the hosts\u2019 lead before the break.<\/p>\n<p>Mbeumo followed up his goal at Liverpool with the third to put\u00a0United\u00a0into a seemingly unassailable position.<\/p>\n<p>Proof that they are far from the finished article yet came, however, as mistakes crept in and Welbeck started the Brighton comeback.<\/p>\n<p>United appeared on the ropes when Kostoulas pounced to narrow the deficit to 3-2, but Mbeumo\u2019s 96th-minute strike secured the three points as the home side won three straight league victories for the first time since August 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe put ourselves in a really difficult position,\u201d Welbeck said. \u201cWe have a great group. We got two goals and were close to maybe getting a third.
