{"id":5674,"date":"2025-12-17T04:53:47","date_gmt":"2025-12-17T04:53:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inernews.online\/?p=5674"},"modified":"2025-12-17T04:53:47","modified_gmt":"2025-12-17T04:53:47","slug":"trump-stands-by-chief-of-staff-after-shock-remarks-about-vance-bondi-musk-donald-trump-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/inernews.online\/?p=5674","title":{"rendered":"Trump stands by chief of staff after shock remarks about Vance, Bondi, Musk | Donald Trump News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div aria-live=\"polite\" aria-atomic=\"true\">\n<p>US President Donald Trump said he was standing by his White House chief of staff, Susie Wiles, after Vanity Fair magazine published interviews in which Wiles revealed internal tensions in Trump\u2019s administration and painted an unflattering picture of the roles played by some of the president\u2019s inner circle.<\/p>\n<p>Trump, who regularly describes Wiles as the \u201cmost powerful woman in the world\u201d, told the New York Post on Tuesday that he has full confidence in his chief of staff and that she had \u201cdone a fantastic job\u201d.<\/p>\n<section class=\"more-on\">\n<h2 class=\"more-on__heading\">Recommended Stories<!-- --> <\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"screen-reader-text\">list of 4 items<\/span><span class=\"screen-reader-text\">end of list<\/span><\/section>\n<p>Vanity Fair published two articles based on the interviews, giving insights into what Wiles thinks about other key figures in Trump\u2019s second presidency.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about Trump, Wiles described the teetotaling president as having \u201can alcoholic\u2019s personality\u201d and an eye for vengeance against perceived enemies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe has an alcoholic\u2019s personality,\u201d Wiles said of Trump, explaining that her upbringing with an alcoholic father prepared her for managing \u201cbig personalities\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Trump does not drink, she noted, but operates with \u201ca view that there\u2019s nothing he can\u2019t do. Nothing, zero, nothing\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In his defence of Wiles, Trump said she was right to describe him personally as having an \u201calcoholic\u2019s personality\u201d, even though he does not drink alcohol.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve often said that if I did, I\u2019d have a very good chance of being an alcoholic,\u201d Trump said. \u201cI have said that many times about myself, I do. REUTERS\/Evelyn Hockstein\" fetchpriority=\"low\"\/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4178741\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, centre, stands with US Army members during US President Donald Trump\u2019s visit to Fort Bragg in North Carolina, in June 2025 [Evelyn Hockstein\/Reuters]<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Speaking on the Trump administration\u2019s failure to quickly deliver its promise to share information related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Wiles suggested that Trump\u2019s attorney general, Pam Bondi, had failed to clearly read the situation with the public.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst, she gave them binders full of nothingness,\u201d Wiles said of Bondi, noting that Vice President JD Vance had more fully grasped how important the issue was to some people, since he is himself \u201ca conspiracy theorist\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Of Trump\u2019s inclusion in the Epstein files, Wiles said, \u201cWe know he\u2019s in the file\u201d, but claimed the file did not show him doing \u201canything awful\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Referring to other members of the Trump administration, Wiles called Russ Vought, the chief of the White House Office of Management and Budget, a \u201cright-wing absolute zealot\u201d and branded tech tycoon Elon Musk an \u201codd, odd duck\u201d, Vanity Fair said.<\/p>\n<p>On Ukraine, Wiles said that Trump believes Russian President Vladimir Putin \u201cwants the whole country\u201d, despite Washington\u2019s push for a peace deal.<\/p>\n<p>Wiles also affirmed that Trump wants to keep bombing alleged drug boats in the waters off the coast of Venezuela until that country\u2019s leader, Nicolas Maduro, \u201ccries uncle\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In a post on X, Wiles called the Vanity Fair story \u201ca disingenuously framed hit piece on me and the finest President, White House staff, and Cabinet in history\u201d, saying it omitted important context and selectively quoted her to create a negative narrative.<\/p>\n<p>Other members of Trump\u2019s inner circle also defended Wiles after the articles were published.<\/p>\n<p>Vance said in a speech in Pennsylvania that he and Wiles had \u201cjoked in private and in public\u201d about him believing conspiracy theories.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have our disagreements, we agree on much more than we disagree, but I\u2019ve never seen her be disloyal to the president of the United States,\u201d Vance said.<\/p>\n<p>White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters outside the West Wing that Wiles was \u201cincredible\u201d and accused Vanity Fair of the \u201cbias of omission\u201d, while Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said on X that there was \u201cabsolutely nobody better!\u201d than Wiles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>US President Donald Trump said he was standing by his White House chief of staff, Susie Wiles, after Vanity Fair magazine published interviews in which Wiles revealed internal tensions in Trump\u2019s administration and painted an unflattering picture of the roles played by some of the president\u2019s inner circle.
