China political analyst Victor Gao argues that the US has come to terms with China\u2019s growing power.<\/p>\n

The United States has realised it cannot keep \u201ctrying to police the whole world\u201d, argues Victor Gao, the vice president of the Center for China and Globalization in Beijing.<\/p>\n

Gao tells host Steve Clemons that improved China-US relations are \u201cinevitable\u201d although he warns that some American policymakers still view China as the number one threat and Chinese officials \u201cnever underestimate what American neofascists will cook up next\u201d.<\/p>\n

In this wide-ranging conversation, Gao maintains that Beijing has replaced Washington as the world\u2019s champion of free trade and won\u2019t allow the US to dominate the field of artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
