Syria agrees to extend ceasefire with SDF for 15 more days | Bashar al-Assad
A fragile ceasefire between Syria’s government and the Kurdish-led SDF has been extended by 15 days, easing tensions in the country’s northeast and buying more time to implement a deal with Damascus. The truce is intended to support US efforts to transfer thousands of ISIL prisoners out of Syria, as Al Jazeera’s Ayman Oghanna reports from Damascus.
